Trump administration denies entry visas to Palestinian officials for UN General Assembly

The US State Department announced Wednesday that it has again denied entry visas to Palestinian officials ahead of the United Nations General Assembly in New York next week. The department cited the Palestinian Authority and Palestine Liberation Organization's alleged failure to "live up to their commitments," according to a statement.
The State Department accused the groups of "taking actions to internationalize the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict including through the International Criminal Court (ICC) and International Court of Justice (ICJ)" and of "glorifying terrorism," among other allegations. This marks the second consecutive year the Trump administration has blocked Palestinian delegation travel for the forum.
