Tropical Storm Dujuan is tracking past Japan's coast and is expected to restrengthen into a typhoon by Tuesday morning, according to the Guardian's weather tracker.
Dujuan briefly reached typhoon strength on Friday before weakening on Sunday. Its path is set to cross the Izu Islands, where evacuation warnings have been issued, the Guardian reported.
Sustained winds could reach around 80 mph, with gusts near 100 mph, along with heavy rain, flooding and landslide risks, according to the report. The Guardian separately noted the Atlantic hurricane season has been unusually quiet this year.
