TotalEnergies s'allie à Mistral AI pour l'exploration pétrolière et gazière

TotalEnergies a annoncé, mardi 15 septembre, la signature d'un partenariat de trois ans avec l'entreprise française d'intelligence artificielle Mistral. Selon un communiqué du géant pétrolier, cette alliance représente un investissement de plus de 100 millions d'euros.
D'après le communiqué cité par RFI, l'objectif de cette collaboration est d'« accompagner l'exploration, la caractérisation et le développement des réservoirs de pétrole et de gaz ». TotalEnergies entend ainsi recourir aux technologies d'intelligence artificielle développées par Mistral pour renforcer ses activités dans l'exploration des hydrocarbures.
Ce partenariat illustre l'intérêt croissant des grandes entreprises énergétiques pour l'intelligence artificielle, susceptible d'optimiser l'analyse de données géologiques complexes utilisées dans la recherche de nouveaux gisements.
