Teen charged with murder over drone-operated shooting in Sydney
An 18-year-old has been charged with murder after police say he operated a drone during a suspected botched gang hit that killed a man with no criminal links.
Joshua Macdonald, 40, was shot dead at a Merrylands West home on September 2 in what New South Wales police believe may have been a case of mistaken identity. Police say the teenager was operating a drone when arrested and was likely "conducting surveillance on someone or some premises" as part of the incident.
Macdonald was not known to police and had no links to organised crime, according to authorities.
