Türkiye says it championed dialogue over conflict at UN General Assembly

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said Türkiye championed dialogue over conflict and diplomacy over crisis during the recent United Nations General Assembly high-level week, according to Turkish state media.

Fidan said Ankara raised what he described as Israel's actions in Gaza during all of the meetings Turkish officials held on the sidelines of the UN gathering, part of more than 40 bilateral and multilateral engagements conducted over the course of the high-level week.

The extensive schedule of meetings reflects Türkiye's continued efforts to position itself as an active diplomatic voice on the Gaza conflict at international forums, alongside its broader engagement with global counterparts on a range of foreign policy issues.
