Nirmeen Noufl was sentenced Friday to at least three years in jail after pleading guilty in August to killing her husband, Mamdouh Noufl, in excessive self-defence while being choked and assaulted in their Sydney home. Justice Peter Hamill said the disposal of the body "was as thorough as it was brutal."
Noufl lied to police multiple times to cover up the killing and will serve a further 12 months in jail beyond her initial sentence.
