Sudanese Army Claims Strike Against RSF in Blue Nile State
Sudan's military says it killed RSF fighters and destroyed nine vehicles in a preemptive attack south of Al-Keili.
The Sudanese Armed Forces claimed Wednesday that a preemptive military operation south of the Al-Keili area in Blue Nile State inflicted heavy losses on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group. According to the military statement, the strike resulted in the destruction of nine vehicles belonging to the RSF.
The claim could not be independently verified. Sudan has been engulfed in civil conflict between the army and the RSF since April 2023, with widespread reports of atrocities and a humanitarian crisis affecting millions of civilians.
