A strike near the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant killed two people and wounded several Russian military personnel, some seriously, according to Alexey Likhachev, chief of Rosatom, Russia's state atomic energy corporation. Likhachev did not specify the source of the strike.

The Zaporozhye plant in southeastern Ukraine has been a flashpoint in the conflict, with both Russia and Ukraine making competing claims about attacks and operations at the site. The International Atomic Energy Agency has expressed concern about the facility's security throughout the war.
