The relocation comes months after tens of thousands of people crossed the border from Morocco into the Spanish territory in late July, the report said.
France 24 reported that several thousand migrants remain in Ceuta, with authorities working to move those still camped on beaches into the new temporary shelter site.
Details on the capacity of the new tented facility, the conditions for those being moved, and the broader plans for managing the remaining migrant population in Ceuta were not immediately available.
