Sharon Horgan Discusses New Comedy 'Youth' Exploring Dating in the 'Sandwich Generation'
The writer and actress spoke to the BBC about her latest project, which tackles sex and relationships for people balancing care for both children and ageing parents.

Actress and writer Sharon Horgan has spoken to the BBC about her new comedy, "Youth," which explores themes of sex and dating for what has been termed the "sandwich generation" — those caring simultaneously for young children and elderly parents.
In an interview with BBC Entertainment & Arts, Horgan reflected on the personal challenges of working on the project, including the experience of seeing herself age on screen.
"It's really weird watching yourself age on screen because that's not fun," Horgan told the BBC.
Horgan is known for her work on comedies dealing with adult relationships, and "Youth" is described as continuing this focus, this time centring on the pressures faced by people navigating romantic lives while managing responsibilities to multiple generations of family members.
The BBC report did not provide further details on the show's cast, plot, or release schedule.
