Actress Selma Blair, best known for her role in Legally Blonde, is reportedly under investigation by the FBI following an alleged altercation with flight attendants during a flight from Los Angeles to New York.
According to the report, the incident has led to an accusation of assault against Blair. Details about exactly what transpired on board, including what prompted the alleged altercation, have not been publicly disclosed.
The FBI generally holds jurisdiction over alleged crimes committed aboard aircraft operating within U.S. airspace, which is one reason incidents involving in-flight conduct are often referred to federal investigators.
Neither Blair nor representatives for the airline involved have issued a public statement addressing the allegation. It is not yet known whether any formal charges will be filed as a result of the investigation.
This remains a developing story, and further information may emerge as the inquiry proceeds.
