Saudi Arabia reports thwarting Houthi missile attack on Riyadh
A Saudi-led coalition says it intercepted a missile fired by Houthi forces targeting the capital.
Brigadier General Turki al-Maliki of the Saudi-led coalition said the Houthis launched a missile attack on Riyadh, which was repelled by air defenses, according to TASS. Al-Maliki stated that the group has escalated attempts to target civilian areas in the capital.
The Houthis, a Yemen-based militant group, have conducted multiple attacks on Saudi Arabia in recent years. No casualty figures were provided in the coalition's statement.
