Saudi Arabian authorities have announced an all-clear for the cities of Mecca, Taif and Tabuk, lifting a danger alert that had earlier been issued for these areas along with Jeddah and Yanbu.

The alert, issued by Saudi Civil Defense, had covered five areas in total. With the latest update, three of the five have now been cleared, though available information does not specify the exact nature of the hazard that prompted the original warning.

Safety instructions remain in place

Civil Defense officials continue to urge residents across the kingdom to follow official safety instructions, a standard precaution during periods of heightened weather or environmental risk in the region.

Jeddah and Yanbu, the two remaining areas covered by the earlier alert, have not yet been confirmed as cleared, according to available reports. Authorities have not indicated a timeline for when an update on those locations might be issued.

Saudi Civil Defense regularly issues area-specific alerts during periods of severe weather, including heavy rainfall and flooding risk, and typically follows up with all-clear notices once conditions in a given area are assessed as safe.
