Russian Official Accuses Armenian Government of “Corporate Raid” on Power Utility
A representative linked to Electric Networks of Armenia says Yerevan’s attitude toward Russian business was made clear by Russian Security Council chief Sergey Shoigu.
A representative associated with Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA), Alexey Shevtsov, has accused Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s government of attempting a “corporate raid” on the company, according to a report by the Russian state news agency TASS.
Shevtsov said the Armenian authorities’ stance toward Russian business interests in the country had already been “clearly stated” by Sergey Shoigu, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, TASS reported.
The TASS report did not provide further details on the specific actions Shevtsov attributed to the Armenian government or on the nature of the alleged dispute involving Electric Networks of Armenia.
