Russian Drone Strike Sparks Fire at Warehouse in Kyiv Region's Brovary District

A fire broke out at a warehouse facility in the Brovary district of Ukraine's Kyiv region following a Russian drone attack, Ukrainian state news agency Ukrinform reported.

According to the report, the strike hit a warehouse site in the district, which lies just east of the capital, Kyiv. Local authorities confirmed the resulting fire, though Ukrinform's report did not specify the scale of damage to the facility or whether the warehouse was in active use at the time of the attack.

Brovary and the surrounding Kyiv region have been repeatedly targeted by Russian drone and missile strikes since Moscow launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, with attacks frequently aimed at infrastructure, storage facilities and residential areas.

Ukrinform's report did not include details on casualties from the strike or say whether firefighting crews had brought the blaze under control. Ukrainian officials have not yet issued a broader statement on the incident.

Russia's defense ministry has not commented on the strike. Moscow has previously said its attacks on Ukrainian territory target military and infrastructure sites connected to Kyiv's war effort, a characterization Ukrainian officials frequently dispute when civilian sites are affected.
