Russian Defense Ministry Claims Capture of Veseloye in Donetsk Region

Russia's Ministry of Defense said on Thursday that Russian armed forces had "liberated" the settlement of Veseloye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), according to a ministry statement carried by the state news agency TASS.
The ministry also said that over the previous 24 hours, Russian troops had eliminated up to 125 Ukrainian Armed Forces service members in the Kharkov region. It added that two Ukrainian servicemen had surrendered during that period.
