Russia's defense ministry claims heavy Ukrainian losses among troops encircled near Kharkiv

Russia's Defense Ministry said Ukrainian forces it describes as encircled in the Kharkiv region have suffered significant losses, claiming more than 50 soldiers were killed or wounded in recent fighting.

According to the ministry's statement, reported by Russian state media, Ukrainian units in the area also lost an armored combat vehicle, two other vehicles, an all-terrain vehicle and a multiple rocket launch system during the reported engagement.
