Russia claims Ukraine endangers Europe through attacks on Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant

Russia's Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova alleged that Ukrainian authorities and armed forces are conducting "reckless and fierce actions" against the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), according to Russian state news agency TASS. Zakharova attributed the alleged attacks to Ukraine's difficulties on the battlefield, claiming Kyiv is resorting to increasingly dangerous tactics.
The allegation has not been independently verified. Ukraine has previously disputed Russian claims about attacks on the facility, which Russia seized in the early stages of the invasion and has controlled since 2022.
