Russia and Ukraine have carried out a new exchange of the remains of soldiers killed during the ongoing conflict, according to a report by Anadolu Agency.

Russia returned the bodies of 252 Ukrainian military personnel to Ukraine, while Ukraine handed over the remains of 23 Russian servicemen, the report said.

The exchange is the latest in a series of similar humanitarian operations between the two countries aimed at repatriating the remains of soldiers who died in the war.

Anadolu Agency did not provide further details on the location or exact timing of the handover, nor on which authorities coordinated the exchange.

Such exchanges of bodies, alongside prisoner swaps, have periodically taken place between Moscow and Kyiv since the start of the full-scale conflict, often facilitated through intermediaries.
