Rosatom Chief, UN Nuclear Watchdog Director Meet Over Zaporizhzhia Safety
Russian nuclear corporation Rosatom and the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency discussed the Ukraine plant's security in Vienna.
Rosatom said officials focused on recent strikes on fuel trucks carrying supplies to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, according to Anadolu Agency. The meeting brought together the Russian state nuclear corporation and Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in Vienna.
The Zaporizhzhia plant, Europe's largest nuclear facility, has been a point of concern since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The IAEA has repeatedly raised alarm over safety risks at the site.
