Robert Malley Criticizes U.S. Track Record in the Middle East as "Disastrous"
The former Middle East adviser to three American presidents denounces the collapse of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
Robert Malley, who advised Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden on Middle Eastern issues, spoke in an interview with RFI on September 18, 2026. He points to the death of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and criticizes the failure of American mediation efforts in the region.
Malley, co-author of the book "Tomorrow Is Yesterday," believes it is necessary to move beyond the "dogma" of the two-state solution in order to break the current impasse.
