Restaurants Increasingly Discourage or Ban Phone Use at the Table

A growing number of restaurants are adopting measures to discourage or restrict phone use among diners, The Guardian reported.

According to the report, one restaurateur offered a free bottle of wine to guests willing to hand in their phones at the door, one of several tactics restaurants are using to encourage patrons to put their devices away and connect with each other during meals.
