Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi has been placed on high alert following recent rainfall in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, according to a spokesperson for the emergency service.

The spokesperson said personnel have been deployed around Nullah Lai and other low-lying areas of the city to enable a rapid response to any emergency arising from the rains.
