Republican Congresswoman Salazar Renews Criticism of Trump's Immigration Crackdown

María Elvira Salazar, the Republican congresswoman who has accused President Trump of going too far on immigration enforcement, repeated her criticism of the administration on Sunday, warning that some of his advisers were 'compromising his legacy,' the Guardian reported.

In an interview with CBS News's Face the Nation, the Florida representative, who is in a tight re-election race, urged Trump not to 'squander' his relationship with Hispanic voters, according to the Guardian. The report said that while Salazar framed her remarks as criticism of top administration advisers, her focus centered on Trump's plan to carry out what he has described as the largest mass deportation of undocumented immigrants in US history.
