The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) sealed 30 water plants across Multan, Lodhran, Dunyapur and Kehror Pakka after their water samples failed quality tests, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan.
The plants had been selling substandard water marketed as mineral water, the PFA said, as part of an intensified crackdown.
In Multan alone, 10 water plants were ordered to halt production, APP reported.
