2027 Presidential Race: Glucksmann Refuses to Expand Primary to Include Ruffin

Raphaël Glucksmann has rejected the idea of expanding the primary to include François Ruffin for the 2027 presidential election, according to Le Monde. The former lawmaker, now the Place publique candidate, argued that "you don't change the rules mid-game."
François Ruffin, a former member of La France insoumise, had proposed to Raphaël Glucksmann that they hold a debate about his possible participation in the primary scheduled for October 9, 10, 16, and 17.
According to the source, this proposal also covered a possible reduction in the primary participation fee, currently set at 15 euros, down to 2 euros.
Raphaël Glucksmann dismissed this two-part proposal, reasoning that the framework for the primary, as it had been established, could not be modified at this stage of the process.
