The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) said its Dera Ismail Khan Circle has continued an anti-power theft campaign, taking action against electricity theft, direct hooking and illegal connections, according to a report by the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).
PESCO said the operation targeted the City-II, Mandhran, Daraban and Paharpur sub-divisions, where teams removed 57 direct hooks and disconnected five transformers found to be linked to unauthorized power usage, APP reported.
The report did not specify the exact dates of the operation, the number of consumers affected, or whether any legal action or fines were imposed on those found involved in power theft.
