Pelicans Trade Jordan Hawkins to Grizzlies in Four-Player Deal
New Orleans sends former lottery pick Hawkins and Micah Peavy to Memphis for AJ Johnson and Taj Gibson, according to ESPN.
The New Orleans Pelicans have traded guard Jordan Hawkins, forward Micah Peavy, a future second-round draft pick and a future second-round pick swap to the Memphis Grizzlies, according to sources cited by ESPN.
In return, the Pelicans are receiving guard AJ Johnson and forward Taj Gibson from Memphis, the report said.
Hawkins, who was selected in the lottery portion of a previous NBA Draft by New Orleans, is the most notable player involved in the four-player exchange, per ESPN's sourcing.
The deal also includes draft compensation in the form of a future second-round pick and a second-round pick swap heading to Memphis, according to the report.
Neither team has issued an official statement confirming the terms of the trade as described by ESPN's sources.
