Pakistani excise teams seize nearly a tonne of narcotics in Peshawar

Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control officials in Peshawar seized 960 kilograms of narcotics, including 720kg of hashish and 240kg of opium, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported.
The operation, described by the department as intelligence-based, took place in the provincial capital on Monday, according to the report.
Officials called it the biggest single seizure in the history of the Excise Intelligence Bureau, APP said.
