Pakistan's NDMA Warns of Flash Flood Risk in Upper Regions Amid Rain Spell
The National Emergency Operations Centre has alerted authorities to prepare for heavy rain, thunderstorms and flash floods from September 25 to 30.

Pakistan's National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned that upper parts of the country face a risk of flash floods over the coming days, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
The authority's National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) issued the alert on Friday, citing the possibility of heavy rain, thunderstorms and flash floods in upper regions between September 25 and 30. The centre urged relevant authorities to ensure advance preparations are in place and to keep emergency response resources ready.
The alert did not specify which districts or provinces are expected to be worst affected, nor did it give rainfall totals or a probability assessment for flash flooding. Pakistan's upper regions, which include mountainous and hill areas, have previously experienced significant flood damage during periods of intense monsoon or off-season rainfall.
Authorities have not yet reported any impacts, and the NDMA's alert is described as precautionary, aimed at ensuring local administrations and emergency services are positioned to respond if flooding materializes.
