Pakistan's Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari said on Tuesday that timely decisions by the Power Division kept the Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA) for August 2026 at Rs1.73 per unit, down from Rs2.0851 per unit in July, averting an additional Rs10.6 billion burden on electricity consumers.

The FCA is a monthly surcharge added to electricity bills that reflects changes in fuel costs for power generation. Leghari attributed the lower August figure to fuel management efforts by the Power Division.
