Pakistan Orders Intensified Crackdown on Cybercrime

Pakistan's Federal Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, has directed the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) to intensify its operations against a range of online offenses, including financial fraud, harassment, digital blackmail and organized cybercrime networks, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan.

The directive calls for the NCCIA to expand and sharpen its enforcement efforts as cyber-enabled crimes continue to affect individuals and businesses across the country. The agency is Pakistan's primary body tasked with investigating and prosecuting cybercrime under national law.
