Pakistan Food Authority Seizes Thousands of Kilograms of Adulterated Food Items
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorities seized 2,300 kg of refined sugar and 200 kg of adulterated gur during safety inspections across three districts.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority seized large quantities of substandard and adulterated food items and destroyed unsafe products during inspections in Peshawar, Mardan and Charsadda on Tuesday, according to officials. The operations recovered approximately 2,000 kg of spoiled and hazardous beef liver from a bus in Peshawar, along with the refined sugar and adulterated gur.
The authority did not immediately disclose the total number of inspections conducted or provide further details on the scope of unsafe products destroyed during the multi-district operation.
