A number of recent films have turned organ couriers into unlikely action heroes, according to the Guardian.
Titles including Runner and the newest Resident Evil installment feature medical professionals racing to deliver human organs for transplant, the Guardian reported, in place of more traditional action-movie cargo such as stolen diamonds or launch codes.
The trend has been linked by some to admiration for frontline medical workers during the Covid-19 pandemic, or a renewed interest in biology, according to the report.
