Police named the officer as 20-year-old Mia Lay, who was killed in the crash, which occurred along Gibbons Street at around 1:30am on Friday.
According to NSW police, the vehicle was travelling with its lights and sirens activated at the time of the crash, responding to a reported vehicle theft in the nearby suburb of Glebe.
