No. 8 Florida will be without its leading receiver, Vernell Brown III, when the Gators travel to face No. 25 Missouri, the program confirmed. Brown's absence removes Florida's top target from the lineup for a ranked matchup.
Despite the loss of Brown, Florida will have receiver Bailey Stockton available for the game, providing the Gators with at least one experienced option in the passing game as they prepare to face a ranked Missouri team.
The matchup pits two ranked programs against each other, with Florida looking to manage the absence of its top receiving threat while Missouri aims to capitalize on the opportunity at home or on a neutral site, depending on the game's location.
No further details on the reason for Brown's unavailability, such as injury status or expected return timeline, were included in the available information.
