Christian Estrosi, mayor of Nice and president of the metropolitan authority, is under investigation for embezzlement of public funds following a report by Éric Ciotti. The case concerns entertainment expenses reimbursed without documentation to the former official between 2016 and 2025.
The Transparence citoyenne association had already filed a complaint noting more than 312,000 euros in entertainment expenses reimbursed without supporting documentation for the benefit of the former mayor affiliated with Horizons.
