In a new documentary by filmmaker Alex Gibney, Ashley St Clair, former Maga influencer and mother of a son with Elon Musk, says Musk told her via text he wanted to have a child because he needed "a legion of children before the civil war." The couple had a son in 2024 but have since separated.
St Clair also accuses Musk of sowing "deliberate division" through his social media platform X, warning it could be catastrophic without regulation. According to the documentary, Musk's team offered her a $40 million lump-sum payment and $100,000 monthly stipend in exchange for signing a non-disclosure agreement, but withdrew the offer after she refused to sign.
