Morocco Prepares to Vote in Legislative Elections Amid Reformed Electoral Rules

Morocco is set to renew all 395 seats of its Chamber of Representatives in legislative elections on September 23, according to France 24.

The vote will take place under a reformed electoral framework that includes new provisions on candidacies, political party financing, and the representation of women and young people, the broadcaster reported.

France 24 noted that beyond the rules governing the vote, questions remain over whether political parties can address Moroccans' concerns on purchasing power, employment, education, and health, and whether they can restore public trust in political representation.
