Meta says it is working on bringing its Muse AI assistant to its smart glasses lineup, just a couple of weeks after the agent's initial launch, according to a report from The Verge following the company's Meta Connect event.
The integration would extend Muse beyond its original launch platform, allowing users to activate the assistant directly from their glasses by saying its name, according to the report. Meta said the feature would extend to the new glasses the company unveiled at Meta Connect this week.
What Muse could do on glasses
Once activated by voice, Muse would be able to handle a range of tasks, including guiding users through a workout and logging information, based on details shared by Meta.
Bringing Muse to smart glasses would fit into Meta's broader strategy of embedding AI assistants across its hardware products, following similar efforts with its existing Ray-Ban smart glasses line, which already includes voice-activated AI features.
Meta has not provided a specific timeline for when Muse will become available on its smart glasses, describing the effort as still a work in progress as of the Meta Connect announcements.
