Merged Areas Education Foundation completes two-day school-based assessment training

The Managing Director of the Merged Areas Education Foundation (MAEF), Fareeha Paul, congratulated teachers who completed a two-day training programme on School-Based Assessment (SBA), according to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).

The training was held in Peshawar and aimed at improving teachers' skills in conducting school-based assessments, a method used to evaluate student learning within the classroom setting.

Paul expressed hope that the newly trained teachers and literacy supervisors would go on to train other educators at the local level in their respective districts, extending the programme's reach beyond the initial group of participants.

The MAEF has been involved in supporting education initiatives in Pakistan's merged tribal areas, which were formally integrated into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in recent years and continue to receive targeted development support, including in the education sector.

APP's report did not specify the total number of teachers who took part in the training or the exact schools and districts to be covered by the planned follow-on training.
