Une attaque menée par le Jnim, groupe jihadiste lié à al-Qaïda, contre le camp militaire de Dioura dans la région de Mopti au Mali le 10 septembre a tué au moins 100 militaires maliens, selon plusieurs sources locales. Ce bilan révisé à la hausse représente le double des premières estimations communiquées sur le terrain.
Selon les mêmes sources, des dizaines de soldats maliens ont également été capturés par les jihadistes lors de l'assaut.
