Peak of Ebola Epidemic in DRC Remains Uncertain According to Africa CDC
The African Union's health agency contradicts Congolese authorities on the timing of the epidemic peak.
According to Africa CDC, the peak of the Ebola epidemic in the Democratic Republic of Congo has not yet been confirmed, contrasting with the position of Congolese authorities who have maintained since last week that the peak was reached in mid-August.
The epidemic, which emerged in May, has become the largest ever recorded in the DRC with over 6,000 confirmed cases and more than 3,000 deaths reported.
