Le pape Léon XIV est arrivé vendredi en France pour une visite de quatre jours très attendue par les fidèles catholiques, selon France 24.
L'avion du pape, âgé de 71 ans et dont la grand-mère avait émigré de France aux États-Unis, a atterri peu avant 10 heures à l'aéroport d'Orly, où il a été accueilli par le président Emmanuel Macron.
Durant son séjour, le pape doit aborder de multiples thèmes, dont l'intelligence artificielle, la question migratoire et la lutte contre les violences sexuelles, des sujets qui figurent parmi les priorités de son pontificat.
La correspondante de France 24 présente à bord de l'avion papal, Natalia Mendoza, a fourni les premières précisions sur l'arrivée du pape, dont la visite doit se poursuivre dans plusieurs villes françaises au cours des prochains jours.
