Le canal de Pinglu, nouvelle porte chinoise vers l'Asie du Sud-Est
La Chine a inauguré jeudi ce canal reliant Nanning au golfe du Tonkin, premier grand ouvrage fluvio-maritime construit dans le pays depuis 1949.
La Chine a ouvert une nouvelle voie maritime vers l'Asie du Sud-Est avec l'inauguration, jeudi, du canal de Pinglu, dans le sud du pays, rapporte RFI.
Selon la source, cet ouvrage relie désormais la ville de Nanning au golfe du Tonkin. Long de 134 kilomètres, il s'agit du premier grand canal reliant un fleuve à la mer construit en Chine depuis 1949, précise RFI.
Le chantier a représenté un investissement d'environ dix milliards d'euros, selon la source. Il vise à désenclaver l'ouest du pays et à accélérer les échanges commerciaux avec l'Asie du Sud-Est, indique RFI.
