The Lebanese American University's (LAU) Adnan Kassar School of Business (AKSOB) welcomed Alain Bejjani as Executive in Residence for its Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program for the 2026-27 academic year. The session took place on September 11 at LAU's Beirut campus and drew university leaders, students, alumni, faculty and industry professionals for a discussion on how executive education can respond to increasingly complex leadership challenges.

The Executive in Residence model, part of AKSOB's approach to executive education, brings accomplished business leaders into direct contact with program participants to share judgment developed through leading organizations and navigating uncertainty. The EMBA program, which the university says pioneered executive education in Lebanon and the region 25 years ago, continues to incorporate such exchanges as part of its evolution.

Leadership Perspectives

LAU President Chaouki T. Abdallah said the Executive in Residence model brings real-world leadership experience into the academic environment, creating opportunities for EMBA participants to connect theory with practice. AKSOB Dean Dima Jamali said the program's students, who are seasoned professionals running organizations amid circumstances not covered by conventional textbooks, are less in need of additional frameworks than of the kind of judgment that comes from real-world experience.
