Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Operations Lahore, Faisal Kamran, held an open court on Tuesday, hearing complaints directly from citizens and issuing directions to police officers for their resolution, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP).

During the session, citizens raised a range of issues, including threats, inheritance and property disputes, fraud, cheque-related matters and business disputes, the report said.

DIG Kamran issued immediate directions to concerned police officers to act on the complaints raised during the open court, a format used periodically by police officials in Lahore to allow direct public engagement.

Open court sessions are intended to give citizens a direct channel to raise grievances with senior police officials, bypassing some of the layers of the standard complaint process.

APP's report did not specify how many complaints were registered during the session or provide a timeline for resolving the issues raised.
