State Takes Back Control of Tarascon Plant Security After Liquidator's Failures
The government denounces the liquidator's "mismanagement" and intervenes urgently to secure the Seveso classified pulp mill site.

The State has decided to deploy the Agency for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency "as a matter of urgent necessity" to prevent risks of fire, spills of hazardous substances, and pollution of the Rhône River, according to a statement from the ministry responsible for ecological transition.
This intervention responds to failures by the liquidator in managing the Tarascon plant, classified as Seveso due to its environmental hazards.
