Iran's Revolutionary Guards say they targeted American ships and oil tankers in a retaliatory operation.
Iran's Revolutionary Guards announced they had "targeted two American ships and eight oil tankers in the area, inflicting considerable damage on them," according to a statement. Ten additional vessels were also reportedly struck during the operation.
The attack came in response to U.S. military operations against Iranian oil tankers, according to Iranian authorities.
