Saudi Arabia accused Houthis on Thursday of launching an attack on Mecca from Yemen. The Yemeni rebels, who have stepped up operations against the kingdom since the start of the month, rejected the allegations.
The Houthis remain opposed to the internationally recognized Yemeni government, which is backed by Riyadh. No death toll or damage assessment has been released so far.
